High-viscosity rotary pumps, also known as cam rotor pumps, are positive displacement pumps that transport fluids by periodically rotating multiple fixed-volume conveying units within the working chamber. They are primarily used for fluid transport. High-viscosity rotary pumps can be used in various industries, such as the food industry, daily chemical industry, and construction industry.

High-viscosity rotor pumps feature an internally driven gear (outer rotor) that rotates an inner rotor in the same direction within a fully enclosed pump body. A crescent-shaped plate on the pump body and front cover separates the suction inlet and discharge outlet. During rotation, a negative pressure is created at the suction inlet, drawing in liquid. The rotor carries the liquid to the discharge outlet, where it is expelled under pressure, completing the liquid transport process.


High-viscosity rotor pumps have a wide viscosity adaptability range and are characterized by low speed, high efficiency, stable operation, strong self-priming capability, easy operation, and preheating capability. These pumps are sealed, reliable, and have a long service life, making them ideal for conveying high-temperature, high-viscosity, or high-hygiene materials in the petrochemical, grease, asphalt, food, and light industrial industries.


High-viscosity rotor pumps can handle a wide range of materials with viscosities, from tens of reis to hundreds of thousands of reis. The material configuration varies depending on the viscosity and operating conditions.


Features of different types of high-viscosity rotor pumps: Depending on the operating conditions, high-viscosity rotor pumps can be made of stainless steel, ordinary cast iron, ductile iron, copper, or cast steel. 1. Cast iron high-viscosity rotor pumps, with heat-treated rotors and shafts, offer excellent cost-effectiveness and can be used for various conveying and pressurization applications without special requirements.

2. Ductile iron high-viscosity rotor pumps possess excellent wear and temperature resistance, primarily used for conveying highly abrasive media. Their rotors undergo carburizing treatment, providing good wear and temperature resistance at a low cost.

3. Cast steel high-viscosity rotor pumps are also widely used, often in applications requiring insulation, such as conveying media that solidify and crystallize at room temperature, like asphalt and resin.

4. Copper high-viscosity rotor pumps are frequently used in applications requiring explosion-proof protection.
